I started out storm chasing in 2009 - 2010, so I am relatively new. I’ve had a love for weather for nearly all my life. I remember drawing weather maps at home, watching storms approach with my dad, watching Meteorologist Bill Steffen present the weather forecast on WZZM in Grand Rapids, MI. I remember far enough back when Bill, Craig James, and George Lessens all worked for TV13. Through my childhood I drew up weather maps and did my own forecast presentations. In the 6th grade I invited Bill Steffen to my school. Bill Steffen is my favorite meteorologist, and I really appreciated him showing up for a presentation on weather. I got to meet Reed Timmer back when the NWS in G.R. had a open house. I’ve experienced many memorable weather events in my life. A couple epic ice storms, a few epic blizzards. And most notably, The Great Lakes Derecho of May 31st 1998. Being on a fixed income and this being a hobby of mine, than a business limits my chasing to the local area, but I hope to one day soon, take a ride on a storm chasing tour, or perhaps even go out into the plains myself. This website is for my personal storm chasing, nature, photos and videos. Thank you for viewing my site. Credentials: I have had my photos and video shown on WXMI, WOOD, WZZM and Good Morning America. |
